How many times can this mark that Alex Jesaulenko took in 1970 be paraded around the media like some golden moment in AFL history? Geezus Christ, it is getting as bad as Channel 9 playing repeats of Graham Kennedy's crow call and describing him as a "genius" and "unique".

Why does Jesaulenko keep posing for photos and doing interview after interview about it? There have been car ads, and endless repeats on TV shows that celebrate AFL's own magnificence. It has been played more than the assassination of Kennedy, the Moon Landing, the ABC showing repeats of A Long Way To The Top (who gives a shit about Sherbet and Daryl Cotton), Molly Meldrum interviewing Prince Charles and Footy Show skits.

Like the ANZAC spirit which is 2/5ths bullshit, the Jesaulenko mark is a pathetic parody used to sell a meme that AFL is the greatest game ever envisioned. AFL players are not legends. They are guys who play a team sport for a few years, then can never move on and believe their own hype.
